A request for more Asian fare, along with a rise in international students, spurred the dining team at the University of Utah to start an automated ramen concept at the start of the fall 2024 semester.
Twelve Ramen Monster machines were installed at five different locations across campus, according to CSP sister publication Foodservice Director.
The website for Ramen Monster, an automated instant ramen concept founded in South Korea in the late 2000s, describes the experience as “affordable and cheerful five-minute flavor,” Foodservice Director reported.
